Abstract
I will introduce the Fourier Algebra of a locally compact group, emphasising the commutative algebra approach, but also making explicit links with representation theory for compact groups. ns I will then discuss homomorphisms, and issues to do with completely bounded maps. If time permits, I'll talk about recent work of my own on quantum group extensions.
