Fermionic structure in the XXZ model

Abstract

One of the major problems in integrable spin chains isto calculate correlation functions exactly. In a series of papers with H.Boos,T.Miwa, F.Smirnov and Y.Takeyama, we have developed a general approach to this problem, based on a new fermionic structure on the space of(quasi-)local operators. In this talk we give an overview of this subject. We consider the expectation valuesof arbitrary (quasi-)local operators in the presence of a finite temperature. We explain that in principle they are expressible in terms of two basic functions.
