Community Legal Education Clinic
The GO Justice Centre works in partnership with local community organisations to deliver programmes of public legal education. We currently have partnerships with Into University, The Marie Trust and The British Red Cross VOICES Network
Into University
Law students work under the supervision of Cameron Wong-McDermott to deliver sessions to primary school students. Topics include climate justice, children’s rights and access to justice.
The Marie Trust
The Marie Trust is a homelessness charity in Glasgow, which aims to widen access to education and support learners to exit homelessness as part of their employability, recovery, and rehabilitation pathway. Law student volunteers at GO Justice design and deliver a series of workshops at The Marie Trust centre for learners who are keen to access education and use the law. This is the only Community Education Curriculum in Glasgow specifically designed to widen access to mainstream education for homeless people and those at-risk.
British Red Cross Voices Network
The VOICES network is a collective of refugees and people seeking asylum. Together, they speak out about issues that affect them.
As people with lived experience, VOICES Ambassadors share unique insights into what it’s like to seek asylum in the UK and contribute to their communities.
