The WP team are seeking support to offer life science based activities.

  • Experience week S5 students, 07 to 11 June 2021. Seeking two life science themed sessions - self-led workshop (1.5hr) for students to complete in their own time plus a follow up live webinar (1hr).
  • Taster week S4 students, 24 to 27 May 2021. Seeking two live webinars (1hr), providing a broad introduction to a subject area within life sciences.

These popular events are for Glasgow school children considering university and offer an excellent opportunity for you to engage with youngsters as part of a structured and managed event. • MVLS engagement funding success
Our congratulations to Professor Katie Hampson of BAHCM, whose project TRACE: Tracing Rabies and Communities’ Experiences has received funding from the ScotPEN Wellcome Engagement Award. Researchers from the University of Glasgow and Ifakara Health Institute will work with locals and community leaders on Pemba Island, Tanzania, where they have carried out long term rabies research and surveillance. Together, they will create an accessible, interactive platform illustrating research findings and the individual experiences of people affected by rabies. Sharing this with decision makers and other rabies-affected communities in East Africa will help local communities influence rabies research, management and policy.
