Academic vacancies and priorities
We are seeking high-quality applicants for the following positions on our academic Research and Track track. Multiple positions are available:
- Professor in Information Engineering (ref 127989)
- Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in areas related to Elecrical and Electronics Engineering (ref 128813)
These posts are based at the main campus of the University of Glasgow, but it is a requirement that the appointees will travel regularly to the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China [UESTC] in Chengdu and Hainan, PR China. It is expected that the appointees will travel to China (both Chengdu and Hainan) around 4-6 times per annum for visits typically of 14 to 21 days duration, but longer or more frequent visits may be required to meet operational demands.

- Professor in Practice (ref 127988)
The Professor in Practice is a new concept in the James Watt School of Engineering which provides an exciting opportunity for industry experts to integrate academic scholarship with their deep knowledge of professional practice. These flexible roles are available on a part-time basis between 0.2 and 0.5 FTE and are fixed term for up to three years in the first instance.
