Into Headship programme reaccredited by the General Teaching Council of Scotland

The University of Glasgow are delighted to announce that the Into Headship programme has been reaccredited by the General Teaching Council of Scotland.  The panel gave an overwhelmingly positive report, which highlights twelve key strengths.  Genuine partnership working between universities, local authorities and Education Scotland colleagues was identified as one of these key strengths with collaborative working through the design group at the heart of this.

Gillian Hamilton, Strategic Director of Education Scotland commented that "This report represents a clear endorsement that the Into Headship programme provides a significant contribution in both preparing aspiring school leaders to lead learning, teaching and assessment in schools and also in building a continued commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth in school leadership within the system".  We are delighted that the University of Glasgow will continue to work with our future school leaders through this successful programme.
