Hundreds of interested attendees engaged with the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation (iii) during the recent Explorathon - Researchers' Night Scotland.

Explorathon 2019, held at the Riverside Museum between Thursday 26 September and Saturday 28 September, allows the scientific to engage with the general public using hands-on activities, demonstrations, exhibits, shows, talks, and family activities.

Using robotics, the iii's Chemokine Research Groupp (CRG) demonstrated immunology in action by guiding white blood cells towards infection. As the chart pictured shows, the activities proved very popular!

The delighted CRG expressed their gratitude on social media: "We had such a great time sharing our research at Explorathon last weekend!

"Massive thanks to everyone involved, especially the University of Glasgow engineering students who helped us develop and deliver the activity!"
