PhD Project Award with Xanthella

We're delighted to be collaborating with Xanthella on a PhD project.

In this collaborative PhD project supervised by Professors Anna Antmann and Professor Richard Cogdell, both in the Institute of Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology, and Dr Douglas McKenzie, Founder and Managing Director of Xanthella. In this collaboration, we are exploring the use of LED technology combined with transcriptomics and genetic manipulation to to produce valuable pigments in cyanobacteria. The project is co-funded by IBioIC, Institute of Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology, the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences and Xanthella.
