This project, which has been ongoing since 2018, is under the auspices of the Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership, a Heritage Lottery Funded initiative. It has create a survey of all the place-names of seven parishes in Kirkcudbrightshire (Carsphairn, Kells, Dalry, Balmaclellan, Balmaghie, Parton and Crossmichael). A web recourse with the full database has been created and there are further outputs envisaged.
