Food Security in Scotland: Making Data Visible and Accessible

This event brings together SCAF Themes 1 and 4, 'Mapping the Food System' and 'Food Security', and aims to strengthen links between research and practice around the Good Food Nation Act. It is for anyone working on any aspect of food security.
Facilitated by theme leads Rachel Norman and Ada Garcia, the workshop will explore what food security data already exists and use the SCAF Data Aggregator to make it more visible and create a more connected picture of available datasets. Participants are encouraged to bring information about the datasets they hold to add to the Data Aggregator during the session.
Launched earlier this year, the Data Aggregator is a searchable catalogue of food system datasets. The platform helps others discover existing data, identify knowledge gaps, and support collaboration, but does not store the data itself. During the workshop, we will show how to add a dataset to the Data Aggregator and explain the different visibility and access options.
