Research title: Exploring the drought-food insecurity nexus using the social-ecological systems approach

Research Summary

Research summary

Drought-food insecurity is a complex phenomenon that encompasses both social and ecological dimensions. My PhD research aims to understand the linkage between drought and food insecurity through the lens of social-ecological systems approach. I expect that my research findings would be useful for decision makers from diverse disciplines achieving zero hunger.

Research interests

  • Food and nutrition insecurity
  • Social-ecological systems
  • Climate change adaptation
  • Agriculture extension
  • Agricultural and environmental sustainability
