Message from Professor Moira Fischbacher-Smith

The University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy in 2021, made a commitment to building a more integrated, digital infrastructure for students and staff.

A key part of that commitment is the creation of MyGrades, a Moodle Plugin that takes the grades from the components of assessment on a course, calculates the overall course grade, and sends the grade to a student dashboard.  The dashboard allows students to see when their assignments are due to be submitted, graded, and returned with feedback.    MyGrades is an important building block for the planned introduction of more digital assessment platforms to support online assessments, and digital assessments on campus.

In the launch video, we set out how MyGrades has been developed, the training and support that is planned as we roll out adoption of MyGrades, and the opportunity to attend a ‘show and tell’ event on the 7th May to hear more.

I would like to thank colleagues from across Schools and Colleges, from Information Services, and from the Transformation Team for their collaboration and sustained commitment to this development.
