Stay Safe, Stay Supported with ReachOut IT TechBar

IT support is easily available to you during Cyber Security Month and World Mental Health Day at UofG!

ReachOut IT TechBar is here to support your digital wellbeing and help you stay cyber secure. It provides visible and accessible in-person IT support close to the Library entrance.

Located on Level 2 of the University Library and open 8:00-20:00 7 days a week, plus keep a watch out for various pop ups at Dumfries and Gilmorehill campuses.

ReachOut IT TechBar simplifies access to IT support and is your one-stop shop for:    

  • General tech support: Get help with your everyday tech needs, from setting up Wi-Fi to installing software support is available when you need it.
  • Cyber Security support: If you are concerned with cyber security, drop in and get help with MFA setup, phishing awareness, and device safety.

 

                                                                       

Here is the impact the Student Experience funded TechBar had in 2024/2025:                           

  • Student engagement jumped from 7.9% to 46.7%
  • User satisfaction grew from 80% to 95%
  • First time fixes rose to 85.4%
  • Average fix time dropped to just 1h32
  • Hosted 20 support pop ups across Dumfries and Gilmourhill Campuses
