We have recruited some of the best Personal Trainers from across Glasgow to enhance your personal training sessions. Standard sessions last 60 minutes and are tailor-made to ensure that you maximise your potential whilst enjoying yourself and having fun as you exercise.

Your Personal Trainer works with you throughout each session, improving your techniques, recording your progress and developing and enhancing your training programme. They provide the key motivation and encouragement during the hard times and give you the confidence to succeed as you achieve your predetermined goals.

Personal Training is available, to all our members, at both the Stevenson building and Garscube Sports Complex.

Biography

"I believe that exercise should work for you. It should fit into your daily life, around studying, work and exams. It should be fun and not a form of punishment!

Moving is one of the simplest joys and I’m here to give you the confidence and tools to get you started. That could be help in running your first marathon, climbing a Munro, learning how to weightlift, losing weight, or maybe it's about finding your confidence, knowing a friendly face in the dreaded weights room, working out what you enjoy and what keeps you motivated, I’m happy to help!

I’m an advocate of exercise in promoting positive mental wellbeing: for me exercise, specifically yoga and weightlifting, have been invaluable for my own mental health. I lead an active life and enjoy many sports such as mountaineering, triathlons, open water swimming and ski touring.

I’m willing to take the time to talk to you if personal training is something that sparks your interest. Maybe you would like 1 session to get you started or regular appointments to keep you motivated, just send me an email or catch me in the gym and we can figure out a plan".

Biography

After a five-year MSci, studying the complexities of human physiology and nutrition in sports labs, I couldn't wait to put all I'd learnt into practice and work one-on-one with clients. Fast forward a few years, and this has developed into a passion for my work as a Personal Trainer alongside my practice as a registered Sports & Exercise Nutritionist.

I believe in the power of exercise and food to achieve optimal health, fitness, performance and wellbeing. And I can help you achieve your personal best, regardless of your level of fitness. Make no mistake: my evidence-based, personalised and wholesome food approach requires time and effort, but it's also fun, motivating and will reap rewards.

My approach to working with any client focuses on three key aspects:

  1. Individuality: we are all genetically unique and should be treated that way. Everyone responds differently to training and I always tailor it according to your goals, preferences, lifestyle and health history.
  2. Integrative approach: it's not all about training. Lifestyle factors such as stress levels, sleep and diet all affect your different body systems. If you're not sleeping well, how do you expect to recover and give it your best at training? I look at the bigger picture and adapt your training accordingly.
  3. Quality over quantity: it doesn't matter how many reps you do in the gym, without a good foundation of health and proper technique, you simply cannot achieve and maintain optimal fitness and performance.

So call, text or email me, let's arrange a no-obligation chat and discuss what I can do for you!
