Chris Barr Personal Trainer

Chris Barr

"Having worked in the Health and Fitness industry as a Personal Trainer for over 8 years, I have an in-depth knowledge of effective training techniques that I can utilise to help you reach your goals. Whether you are looking to lose weight, build muscle or improve your performance in a sport, I’m here to help.

Throughout my career, I have successfully worked with a range of clients of differing fitness levels and abilities. I place great importance in getting to know you and understanding what the key drivers are behind your goals. This helps me customise all aspects of the process from training and nutrition programmes, to how we will approach sessions in the gym.

I am incredibly passionate about what I do and enjoy working with my clients to develop their fitness and strength. Having trained other athletes and competed myself in Powerlifting competitions, I understand the importance of improving essential exercises, techniques, mental fitness and nutrition to achieve a complete health package."

"With more than 15 years experience in health and fitness I’ve coached thousands of people from all walks of life and from a whole spectrum of ability. This has allowed me to refine my approach to programming and client care in order to guarantee the best outcomes for everyone on an individual, bespoke level.

As a trainer, I believe in a tailored approach for my clients and work hard to ensure that everyone who trains with me receives a programme that they get results from, but ultimately one that they enjoy. After all, the best programme for anyone is always the one that they will actually do!

Whether you respond to being shouted at or having an arm around your shoulder, prefer details or simple instructions, are happy losing a few pounds or want six-pack abs, with me you will receive the guidance and support that you need as an individual to get the results that you want and deserve."

Laura Wright Personal Trainer

Laura Wright

"I believe that exercise should work for you. It should fit into your daily life, around studying, work and exams. It should be fun and not a form of punishment!

Moving is one of the simplest joys and I’m here to give you the confidence and tools to get you started. That could be help in running your first marathon, climbing a Munro, learning how to weightlift, losing weight, or maybe it's about finding your confidence, knowing a friendly face in the dreaded weights room, working out what you enjoy and what keeps you motivated, I’m happy to help!

I’m an advocate of exercise in promoting positive mental wellbeing: for me exercise, specifically yoga and weightlifting, have been invaluable for my own mental health. I lead an active life and enjoy many sports such as mountaineering, triathlons, open water swimming and ski touring.

Just send me an email or catch me in the gym and we can figure out a plan!"
