Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAAs)
Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAAs) are strategic awards from UKRI to research organisations, to fund activities that translate research into impact. The University was awarded £5.2m for this purpose in 2022 and currently holds a full complement of IAAs. A consortium led by the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde also won £4.7m in UKRI funding in 2023, to triple the Scottish photonics sector through a Place-Based IAA.
As a researcher at the University of Glasgow, you can request IAA funding from the account that best fits your project; it does not need to be managed by your own College.
