Following the election on 19 October, Professor Dan Haydon (School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine) has been appointed

Following voting by academic colleagues on 18 and 19 October 2022, Professor Dan Haydon (School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine) has been appointed as Elected Academic Staff Member on Court.

Dan joins four other colleagues in this position on Court:

  • Professor Nicholas Hill, School of Mathematics & Statistics (Term Expires - July 2023)
  • Professor Simon Kennedy, School of Life Sciences (Term Expires - July 2025)
  • Professor Kirsteen McCue, School of Critical Studies (Term Expires - July 2025)
  • Dr Bethan Wood, School of Interdisciplinary Studies (Term Expires - July 2025)

Dan will serve on Court for four years, with the option to stand for re-appointment for a further four years.  The election took place online using the Single Transferrable Voting system.  Amongst a field of four candidates Dan secured over 50% of the vote and was therefore declared winner in the first round.
