There’s still time to book onto a training session

Introduced back in June, the University’s Travel Hub is a simple and easy-to-use platform, taking the stress out of booking business travel.

Working in partnership, Finance and Transformation colleagues have been working to deliver a Travel Hub enabling self-booking for University flights, accommodation, and rail travel, with the added advantage of instant booking confirmations and eliminating the need to raise a purchase order.

Access to the Hub is via the MyGlasgow Staff portal (under the Help tile) or can be navigated using the URL address: https://www.gla.ac.uk/universitytravelhub/. Promotional posters have been distributed to teams and services across multiple campuses.

So far, the team have trained over 300 colleagues who arrange travel on behalf of others. The one-hour training sessions will continue throughout September for anyone who has yet to book onto training or feels they would benefit from an additional session. Using the online Travel Hub has led colleagues through a quicker booking process, reducing time spent booking or arranging travel, and improved accessing responsive support from our travel partners, Selective Travel. Regular users of the platform have expressed their confidence in using the Hub and the support available if required, as outlined in our most recent user survey, overall satisfaction has increased by 36%.

However, this has not resulted in the team stopping there. Listening and responding to user feedback has been critical to the continued improvement of the Hub and led to a refresh of web content and updating the Travel Hub FAQs.
