Employee Engagement Drop-in Sessions

Take the chance to influence employee engagement initiatives

Following the 2018 Staff Survey, results are being rolled out across our various departments and colleagues will have the chance to discuss their thoughts on the results from their own areas.

Last week, we shared a video of the Principal, Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, outlining the importance of the survey outcomes and employee engagement as well as the thoughts of colleagues from the University’s Engagement Lead Network.

One key priority is to provide greater opportunities for staff to have a voice both in terms of what happens in their own areas but also in terms of how the University moves forward to act on key themes emerging from our results. The University has now established an Engagement Steering Group which will work in partnership with the Engagement Lead Network and the wider staff community to ensure the University continues to develop as a great place to work.

If you are interested in finding out more, colleagues from the Engagement Steering Group are running an informal drop-in session on Wednesday, 23 January, from 15:00 to 16:30 in the Western Infirmary Lecture Theatre, room 112AB (WILT). Please feel free to pop along at any point.

The session is a good chance to:

  • meet those involved;
  • receive updates on recent developments;
  • discuss and influence wider plans for the year ahead.

Members of the Engagement Steering Group are particularly interested in speaking to colleagues to understand the different ways in which they prefer to be communicated with, particularly when it comes to sharing  thoughts and ideas, as well as receiving progress updates and generally keeping the conversation going across employee engagement themes. In addition to the drop-in sessions, the group are always happy to hear any thoughts or ideas via HaveYourSay@glasgow.ac.uk
