Message from the Principal

I hope you are having an enjoyable summer and that you are able to take a well-earned break at some point. On behalf of the Senior Management Group, I would like to thank you for everything you achieved in 2018-19; despite external pressures and challenges, overall it has been a very successful year for the University.

In recognition of this, we propose to make Friday, 3 January, 2020 an additional day of annual leave. Essential staff who have to work on that day will be able to take an alternative day off, as agreed with their line manager.

Please also note that, in line with Glasgow City Council and East Renfrewshire Council (and, potentially others), we will move the May Day holiday from Monday, 4 May to Friday, 8 May to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
