A guest lecture from the Slovakian Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Mr L'ubomír Rehák: Slovakia's European Journey - from Europe's periphery to the centre of EU decision making.

You are invited to join us on Friday 30 September for a guest lecture from the Slovakian Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Mr L'ubomír Rehák, entitled Slovakia's European Journey: from Europe's periphery to the centre of EU decision making.

During the course of the lecture, the Ambassador will talk about the journey of Slovakia from a former communist country to a country holding the Presidency in the Council of the EU and the key defining moments of this transformation process. He will introduce the priorities of the current Slovak Presidency in the Council of the EU, describe the environment in which it is taking place and set out his views about the future direction of the EU as well as EU-UK relations.
