Learning & Teaching

Congratulations to previous student interns Kristina Kurincova and Abigail Watson and to colleagues Dr Vicki Dale and Dr Sarah Honeychurch who have been recognised with a Student Partnership Impact award from the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) for their work on developing the University's Active Learning Resource Hub.

The Active Learning Hub, which was launched in 2025, is a go-to resource for all teaching staff who want to know more about different active learning methods and strategies.

The resource comprises a series of active learning guides by Dr Vicki Dale, illustrated through a series of cases studies of practice from across the university. Overseen by Dr Sarah Honeychurch, the case studies were developed in partnership with academics and the webpages were developed with student interns Kristina Kurincova and Abigail Watson. You can hear from Kristina and Abigail here.

The Student Impact Award is an international recognition of students who have had impact at their universities relating to educational development, spotlighting students who have gone above and beyond their standard institutional role, and have had identifiable impact or influence within their course, department or university.

Congratulations to the team behind the Active Learning Hub and to Kristina and Abigail – recognition like this reinforces the value of student-staff partnership projects at the University.
