In August, the Curriculum for Life (C4L) pilot officially launched, with six new elective courses opening for student enrolment this academic year! This is a huge milestone for the project team, who have worked for three years to get to this stage. ‘Collaborations in Practice’ (CiP) and ‘Measuring Your Social World’ will be the first to kick-off in semester one.

Before the pilot launch, we worked with ten student interns throughout June to test Curriculum for Life and support the development of CiP course content. We have some student testimonies of their experience:

How can I get involved?

If you would like to develop a Curriculum for Life course for the academic year 2026/2027, we would love to hear from you. C4L courses are credit-bearing, elective modules designed to help students engage meaningfully with learning, knowledge, and ways of practicing beyond their core disciplines. They are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on real-world challenges, fostering future-ready skills, and encouraging collaboration across subjects, schools, and degree programmes.

You can find out more about Curriculum for Life via the webpages and view the application process on the dedicated SharePoint page. Take a moment to explore the resources on the SharePoint, including dedicated webinar recordings for each College hosted by your College C4L Lead. If you have any questions, the contact details for your College C4L Lead are also on the SharePoint. The deadline to submit your Pitch is the 30th of September.
