University policies about assessment

The University has a number of policies about assessment, and whilst you might not want to read them all in detail, there are some important things you should know, and it is always good to know where to find them too. The University has also written some guides for students about the policies.

The University’s guide to assessment is long but is really accessible. There are also guides that focus on marking and this is an essential component of understanding your assessment, as it allows you to work out why/how you achieved the grade you did.

University policies are mostly found on the University Senate Office website (the Senate Office oversees the governance of the University). The policies and guides that relate specifically to assessment are listed below.
