Parking and transport

On-street parking is free (non-chargeable) in the streets close to Queen Margaret Residence. If you are planning to park in other areas of Glasgow during your stay, please check the zone and possible charges Glasgow City Council interactive parking zone map On-street parking in the City Centre is very expensive.

Glasgow City Council operate a number of Pay and Display car parks in the City. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/payanddisplaycarparks

The closest train station is Hyndland which is 25 minutes' walk from Queen Margaret Residence. The journey from Hyndland to Glasgow Central Station take 10/12 minutes.

Buses run to the city centre from Great Western Road which is around 10 minutes walk from the residence. Most buses offer 'tap on, tap off' payment and the journey takes around 25 minutes.
