The Future of Internationalisation

Many thanks to all those that attended our ‘Future of Internationalisation’ partner event in May. We are delighted to share the recordings of the six sessions that took place over the two-day event.

The event was organised to celebrate the launch of our new international strategy, Global Glasgow 2025 and the ethos of concerted effort and collective good that underpins it.

Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Glasgow opened the event expressing how partnerships can create meaningful change and impact: "If we all move forward together, as a sector, and with a collective appreciation of our values, then we will succeed. I hope that in the months and years ahead, Glasgow will continue to set a precedent in this regard, working with our international partners to produce innovative solutions whilst educating our students to be responsible global citizens."

Over two days, 18 of our sector-leading partners and sector bodies from around the world came together to share expertise and explore new opportunities in research, learning and teaching, student experience and partnership development. Many thanks to all of those that participated and special thanks to our guest speakers for their contributions.

Rachel Sandison, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement), reflected: "One of the aims of this event was to celebrate the launch of our new international strategy, Global Glasgow 2025, but, even more importantly, it was to shine a spotlight on our partners and the incredible things we can accomplish when we come together to share ideas and expertise; thanks to our wonderful array of speakers, and the collective spirit of cooperation and collaboration, the sessions truly demonstrated just that."

We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the event again in 2023 and further details including the dates and theme will be included in an upcoming issue of University of Glasgow Connect.
