I want to congratulate the University of Glasgow on being named the Times & Sunday Times Scottish University of the Year 2024– a fantastic achievement which cements its reputation as a truly world-leading educational institution. Such an achievement is a great reflection on the staff and students at the University of Glasgow, and it’s fitting that the excellent learning and research programme, international outlook, and supportive environment for students which has been created at the University has been recognised. Congratulations to all involved in this great accomplishment. Humza Yousaf, First Minister of Scotland

It is very pleasing the University of Glasgow has again been named Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024. Our ranking of 12th in the UK matches our previous record performance in the 2022 rankings, and the second occasion we have been named Scottish University of the Year in three years. This result is tribute to the consistent excellence of our University community, and the hard work and endeavour displayed despite challenging circumstances over the past few years. I would like to thank my colleagues for their continued commitment to the University. Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow
