Mentimeter
Thursday 30 November: 14-15.00
Mentimeter is a presentation tool designed to increase student engagement both in the classroom and when used remotely. With Mentimeter, you can interact with the students in real time, take a poll, present a quiz, gather feedback, and more.
This webinar will demonstrate how to author Mentimeter slides to create interactive moments in lectures or tutorials, how to import existing PowerPoint slides, share and publish your presentations, and review students' responses.
Improving Feedforward with Turnitin QuickMarks
Wednesday 29 November 12-13.00 and Friday 8 December 12.30-13.30
This webinar will show you how to use existing Turnitin Feedback Studio (TFS) QuickMarks to provide feedback, as well as how to customise and create your own.
QuickMarks are labels that can be added to the submitted assignment. They can have further explanations that can include formatted text and hyperlinks, and can also be linked to criteria when using grading forms or rubrics. Each QuickMark has space to add freeform comments.
They make providing detailed feedback and feedforward easier, especially for frequently used comments/feedback. They are organised into Sets that can be shared across markers to improve consistency.
