Student Computer Clusters
Social Sciences College IT Services manages several computer clusters in the following buildings:
- Adam Smith Building
- Main Building (Adam Smith Business School)
- St Andrew's Building
- Stair Building (School of Law)
Adam Smith Building
Location
- Lab A is located in Room 912A (seats 38)
- Lab L is in Room 1113 (seats 50)
- Lab M is in Room 1105 (seats 44)
- Adam Smith Library (computer seats 14)
- Bloomberg Trading Room in Room 716 (12 computers) [restricted access]
- College IT Services technicians' office is located in Room 909
Labs L and M and Bloomberg Trading Room are not wheelchair accessible.
Labs A, L and M are open-access except when booked for teaching.

Students must leave the building promptly after the labs close as the building closes a few minutes later.
The labs are closed on University holidays and between Christmas and New Year. Labs may close early on the last working day before a holiday.
Individual labs are opened and closed depending upon demand and the requirements for teaching and maintenance. The safety and security of students and equipment is also taken into consideration.

Printing
Canon PullPrinting MFDs (print, copy, scan to file/email) are located at:
- Room 912 (beside entrance to Lab A) – Colour/B&W, A4 and A3, stapling.
- Adam Smith Library (on the right after entering) – B&W only, A4 and A3.
Lab etiquette
Please be considerate of others around you and, in particular, please note the following basic rules:
- Computers may not be reserved. Once logged in, maximum permitted time away from lab is 10 minutes
- Take conversations and phone calls outside, onto the stairwell
- Switch mobile phones off in the labs
- Headphones must not be able to be heard by anyone else
- Food and drinks (other than water in bottles) are not permitted
- Use the relevant recycling box/waste bin for paper and other rubbish
- Never leave valuables unattended
