The School of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Gender and Sexualities Interdisciplinary Network (GSIN) are honoured to be hosting a workshop with the globally renowned Chilean feminist collective LASTESIS. This free workshop is open to women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in High Education, subject to ticket booking. It will be carried out in Seminar room 551, second floor of the School of Psychology & Neuroscience, on the 20th of November 3pm-5pm.

LASTESIS is a globally influential feminist group combating patriarchal oppression through political art and collective struggle. Their acclaimed performances like "Patriarchy and Capital is a Criminal Alliance" (2018) and "The Rapist is You" (2020) have resonated in the media globally and been replicated in over 50 countries. Alongside this, publications such as "Polifonías Feministas" (Random House, 2022) and "Quemar el Miedo" (Planeta, 2021) have been translated into multiple languages, and they have recently published “Set Fear on Fire: The Feminist Call That Set the Americas Ablaze” (Verso, 2023) reflecting their international impact. Beyond stage work, they lead workshops globally, leaving their mark in festivals, museums, and universities worldwide. Their impactful efforts have earned them prestigious awards, including the Jaime Castillo Velasco Award (2020) and recognition in TIME magazine's 2020 TIME100 list.

The workshop has been uniquely designed for women and members of the LGBTQ+ community in Higher Education. It aims to facilitate an interdisciplinary and intersectional exploration of feminist themes through collaborative and creative activities. Through this interactive session, attendees will not only gain a deeper understanding of feminist theories but also translate these ideas into various creative formats. In doing so, attendees will have the opportunity to develop their feminist knowledge and practice whilst strengthening feminist connections within the University of Glasgow and beyond.

Please contact GSIN organiser Dr Ana Cannilla: ana.cannilla@glasgow.ac.uk or Dr Gabriela Cruz: gabriela.cruz@glasgow.ac.uk for further information regarding this workshop. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. This event is kindly funded by the School of Psychology & Neuroscience.

We look forward to welcoming you on November 20th for an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and political resistance.
