Bachelor of Science (BSc)

The only Bachelor of Science degree available for in-country study in Singapore is the BSc (Hons) in Computing Science. This collaborative programme, run by the School of Computing Science,  is a broad computing science programme whose main themes are security, connectivity, mobility, and usability.

About the School of Computing Science

Since 1957, when it became the first university in Scotland to have an electronic computer, Glasgow has built a reputation for the excellence of its Computing Science research and its graduates. Today, it is rated in the UK’s top 10 for research, according to the last independent UK research exercise.  It is also ranked top 10 in the UK in the Complete University Guide 2020.

Computing Science entered into partnership with the Singapore Institute of Technology to deliver its BSc (Honours) Computing Science programme commencing in September 2013 on the campus of Republic Polytechnic.   From September 2019, a joint programme will be delivered in partnership with Singapore Institute of Technology based at Nanyang Polytechnic.  Delivered over three years, the joint programme features an eight-month integrated work study programme (Singapore), and a 3-week overseas immersion programme at the University of Glasgow.
