Biography
My research experience and interests align to issues of social inequality, anti-racism, critical pedagogy, and participatory action or 'research-in-practice' methodologies. I have worked on a variety of research and evaluation projects which includes:
- 'Protecting Minoritised Ethnic Communities Online' (PRIME). A £3.4 million UKRI-funded project exploring the impact of digital services across health, social housing and energy. I co-led a work package bringing together stakeholders from communities, third sector organisations, researchers and policy leads across England and Scotland, to co-design solutions for the design of equitable digital services.
- Building a repository of 'Non-Traditional Research Outputs' (NTRO) for the School of Social and Political Sciences.
- Exploring the behaviours of the childrens social care workforce in repsonse to machine learning and AI tools, for the Department of Education, England.
- 'An exploration of British values and the school curriculum: making space for counter-knowledge:' my ESRC doctoral study which worked with students and teachers as co-researchers to re-design History and Geography curricula at primary and seconday level.
- Evaluating outreach and widening participation activities at Further Education Colleges.
- A mixed-methods investigation of ethnicity awarding gaps in UK Higher Education.
