The Annual Scottish Maritime History conference, "Current Research on Scottish and International Maritime History", will be held in the Mitchell Library, Thursday, 24 October 2019, commencing at 10.00am. A Lecture has been organised the evening before the Scottish Maritime History conference by Martin Bellamy, “Family networks in Burrell business”, to be held in the Senate room, Main Building, University of Glasgow, Wednesday, 23 October 2019, commencing at 6.00pm. Wine and nibbles will be served. Please rsvp to Christine.Leslie@Glasgow.ac.uk for catering purposes, if you wish to attend the lecture. After the lecture there will be a book launch to celebrate the book, “Jimmy Reid: A Clyde-Built ManJimmy Reid: A Clyde-Built Man”, by W W J Knox and A McKinlay.
