Climate Energy & Environment Network
About the network
The Glasgow Climate, Energy and Environment Network (CEEN) is a cross school network for people broadly working on issues of climate, energy and environment in social sciences and associated subjects at the University of Glasgow. Founded on conversations that emerged from the cross school workshops Social and Political Science at Two Degrees in 2025, CEEN seeks to build on the momentum established and to recognise and profile the important and timely work of academic staff who contribute to the university's broader focus on CEEN's core topics.
The School of Social & Political Sciences has over forty members of staff and doctoral students working together on issues relating to climate change, energy studies or the broader environment at present. CEEN is a home for all of them, and aims to reflect the diversity of research and practice in the school more broadly. We also welcome colleagues from beyond SSPS with research and teaching interests in these areas.
We will be organising a series of events over the course of 2026 and 2027. If you are interested in being kept up to date, please affiliate with the network. You can also contact any of the network convenors directly.
