PsyRING provides a unique genomic profiling service for detecting antipsychotic drug efficacy.
The profiles of novel compounds can be compared to classical antipsychotic drugs using our unique state-of-the-art patterning analysis and our proprietary "Antipsychotic Reversal Index (ARI)" to give an overall signature of the ability of drugs to reverse deficits in the translational schizophrenia model. This provides increased sensitivity, relative to traditional methods, for detecting potential antipsychotic activity.
This evaluates the ability of novel drugs to restore the entire spectrum of altered gene expression in affected brain regions such as the prefrontal cortex, rather than just relying on single markers.
