Dental School staff member featured in The Herald series celebrating 70 years of the NHS

Dr Petrina Sweeney, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at Glasgow Dental School, is one of 70 staff featured in a series currently running in The Herald newspaper to celebrate 70 years of the NHS in Scotland.

Dr Petrina Sweeney, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at Glasgow Dental School, is one of 70 staff featured in a series currently running in The Herald newspaper to celebrate 70 years of the NHS in Scotland. Dr Sweeney, a former President of the British Society for Disability and Oral Health, has worked for over 30 years in Special Care Dentistry and was one of those closely involved in the successful campaigning for recognition of the specialty by the General Dental Council. In addition to her academic roles at Glasgow Dental School, Dr Sweeney delivers clinical service for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde on two days per week at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley.
