Information for Visitors

The Hunterian Anatomy Museum is closed to the public for general visits, however it does open for guided tours, currently on the third Wednesday of each month from 4-6 pm. Upcoming events and opening times are advertised on this page and on social media. You can also follow our Eventbrite profile to be informed when museum openings and other events are made available for booking. We regret that we are currently unable to accommodate individual visits beyond event times.

The next regular opening will be Wednesday February 26th, 2025, 4-6pm. Entry is free, but please register here, or via this link to reserve a ticket for any of the March - November open days.

For research visits and access to the anatomical collections, please see here for details and contacts at The Hunterian.

If you would like to discuss options for group visits, please contact Anatomy Mailbox.

For school visits and student groups, please consider that the Museum's collection is largely aimed at self-directed study by anatomy students, with additional displays for audiences with an interest in medical history, and that we generally suggest an age of 16+ due to the sensitive nature of some of the content. If you are planning to integrate the visit into your curriculum, or would like to visit with younger students, please get in touch and we can facilitate an initial visit for teaching staff to allow you to assess whether the Museum is suitable for your class.
