Research interests

Research Interests

My broad scientific interests span several disciplines, including multiscale approximations and expansions, poroelasticity and porous media flow, theoretical and applied fluid dynamics, mechanics of deformable solids. I develop my research across the interface between continuum mechanics and mathematical biology and I am particularly interested in the application of (continuum) mathematical models to biological scenarios, such as cancer biology, elastic composites and bone. My main area of expertise is asymptotic homogenization and its application to real-world (biological) problems of practical interest. I am associated with the group Continuum Mechanics - Modelling and Analysis of Material Systems.
