Research interests
I am interested in environmental statistics, with a focus on methods for spatiotemporal data fusion. My PhD focussed on developing a method of nonparametric statistical downscaling for fusing satellite and in-lake water quality data, with differing spatial and temporal supports. I aim to develop this further in my current research applied to river water data.
I have also worked on using statistical modelling to understand the effects of connectivity and stress on richness of key species in UK freshwater lakes.
I have also developed work recently in the modelling of healthcare and virology-related data, to understand vaccine effectiveness on different SARS-CoV-2 variants over time. I have also contributed to other projects in this area of research.
