UK competitions

The School participates in a wide range of domestic competitions, both at the Scottish and UK national levels:

Alexander Stone Scottish Intervarsity Moot Court Competition

This competition is hosted by the University of Glasgow and is contested by all Law Schools in Scotland.

Sheriff's Cup Moot

The annual Sheriff's Moot is a one-off moot held between the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde, which takes place at Glasgow's Sheriff Court.

Lord Jones Moot Competition

This annual inter-varsity mooting competition hosted by the University of Dundee Mooting Society and is open to all Law Schools in Scotland.

OUP and BPP National Mooting Competition

Oxford University Press and BPP Law School co-sponsor this national mooting competition which is open to law students from across the UK.

ESU-Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition

The ESU – Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition is one of the longest established national mooting competitions in the UK, the first final was held in 1972.
