Research in labour law

Labour law has a long and proud tradition here at the University of Glasgow. Today, a range of courses are taught at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and we have a lively cohort of postgraduate research students.

Both teaching and research in labour law extend into the fields of European Union and International Law as well as UK Law. The approach taken is decidedly historical and comparative, engaging with questions of policy, principle and methodology as well as more technical legal matters.

Our research staff are actively involved in a number of important national and international forums and institutions dedicated to the study of labour law, the development of employment rights and the promotion of workers’ interests.
