Professor Gwo-Tzer Ho recently joined Professor Konstantinos Gerasimidis (School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing) as a guest on the Catherine McEwan Foundation’s podcast series, GUTSY.

In this episode, titled Ask the Experts: Unfiltered Insights from Scotland’s Leading IBD Researchers, host Derek McEwan brings together two of Scotland’s leading minds in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) research.

Professor Ho, recently appointed Professor of Gastroenterology here at the School of Infection & Immunity, offers insights from his dual role as consultant gastroenterologist and scientist, while Professor Gerasimidis, a clinical nutritionist, discusses his work on diet and the microbiome.

Together, they take listeners inside the world of IBD research, explaining what’s happening behind the scenes, why it matters, and how patients can get involved.

This engaging discussion forms part of Professor Ho and our school’s ongoing commitment to patient engagement and public communication in IBD research.
