Head of School Professor Julia Edgar is delighted to announce that Professor Simon Milling has accepted the role of Good Research Practice Advisor for the School of Infection & Immunity, succeeding Professor Rick Maizels
As Good Research Practice Advisor, Simon will serve as a key point of contact for staff and students who have questions or concerns related to research integrity and will be available for confidential discussions about potential issues or next steps.
A central aspect of this role is to identify the school’s needs in supporting good research practice and to help develop improved training and procedures, with the goal of strengthening our research culture and reducing the likelihood of problems arising.
Professor Edgar said: “I am pleased to report that Simon Milling has accepted the role of Good Research Practice Advisor for the School.
"Simon is now a point of contact for anyone with questions, or who might need a confidential conversation about the next steps for any issues relating to Good Research Practice.
“We thank Rick Maizels for his valuable contributions in this role to date and wish Simon well as he takes on these new responsibilities.”
