Funded by the Research Enrichment for Public Engagement scheme, Professor Crampin and a team of researchers at MEIRU (Malawi Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit) will engage with rural and urban communities in Malawi about long-term conditions including mental health.

Areas of focus will include:

  • Primary school engagement on early origins of long-term conditions
  • Sharing the voices of families affected by maternal mental health conditions
  • Documenting family journeys and infant development in birth cohort families
