General Practice and Primary Care's Dr Zoe Noonan reports back on the group's attendance of and contribution to "NADEGS" – the annual conference for the departments of general practice in Scotland.

This year's event was held in Carnoustie, and hosted by University of St Andrews. It was entitled "Navigating towards the future".

The conference was well attended by delegates from all Scottish medical schools and key note speakers included Emma Watson (Executive director NHS Education for Scotland) and Phil Cotton from University of Glasgow. University of Glasgow colleagues contributed eight posters to the event, one of which won the conference "best poster" award.

Zoe Noonan and Lindsey Pope also ran a workshop "Embrace and Innovate! Using GP teaching capacity flexibly and sustainably", and various Glasgow speakers contributed oral presentations; Lynsay Crawford (below) talked on "'General practice – it’s just sitting down!' Perceptions of a General practice-focused curriculum: a qualitative student of first-year medical students".

David Blane also spoke on "living with and accessing healthcare for long COVID in Scotland: a qualitative study".
