Biography

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Signal Processing and Machine Learning at the School of Engineering, the University of Glasgow. I earned my PhD from the University of Surrey, U.K., in 2011. Before joining Glasgow in 2015, I have held Lecturer post at the University of Hull between 2013 and 2015, and the University of Surrey between 2011 and 2013. I am a member of the Communication, Sensing and Imaging (CSI) group at the University of Glasgow, where my research interests span applications of Signal Processing, Machine Learning and Data Analytics in the area of sound modelling, robot audition, speech-based personal profiling, assistive and healthcare technologies, assisted living (AAL), activity and gesture recognition based intelligent systems.
