Dr Tijana Vuletic
- Lecturer in Mechanical Design (Systems Power & Energy)
Biography
I graduated with a Dipl Ing (Meng) in Mechanical Engineering (Aeronautical engineering) at University of Belgrade, Serbia, and an MSc in Global Innovation Management at University of Stratchlyde/Aalborg University.
I did my PhD in “User-based gesture vocabulary for form creation during a product design process” at the department for Design, Manufacturing & Engineering Management at University of Strathclyde.
I am a Fellow of HEA.
Research interests
I am interested in CAED supported engineering design, specifically CAD systems encompassing different design stages, from conceptual design to manufacturing, their integration in the lifecycle of a product and the effect they have on the final design. Particular interest is in how new technologies can support this, focusing on computational support for design activities including gesture-based interaction, cognitive processes and sequencing of activities during form creation and conceptual design.
I am also interested in different aspects of systems engineering in the context of complex systems engineering design e.g. design in the context of complex systems, data, information and knowledge management, risk management.
