Research interests

Scott is currently working as a Research Associate on various projects associated with optical communications. He completed his PhD on visible light communications at the University of Glasgow.

Research interests include:

  • The use of lasers and LEDs in the visible spectrum for communications in free space, through fibre and underwater.
  • Lasers at 1310 nm and 1550 nm for telecommunications.
  • Resonant tunneling diodes, both electrically and optically driven, for terahertz communication applications.
