Research interests

Research Interests

Phil Dobson works in the area of micro- and nano-fabrication. His research interests in this field include the mechanical and thermal properties of devices and materials at the microscopic level. This includes the development of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) sensors that permit measurements to be made on these length scales.

His most recent research involves establishing new methods for the controlled growth of carbon nanotubes on micromachined substrates.
