Research interests

Biography

Dr. Faisal Tariq received his B.Sc.(Hons) from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh and M.Sc. from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He received his PhD from The Open University, UK. He is currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at University of Glasgow and is affiliated to TNE program with UESTC, Chengdu, China. He is currently serving as Program Director for EEE with Communication degree. Prior to this, he also held academic and visiting research positions at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), University of Bedfordshire, Aalborg University and National Institute of Informatics (NII). His main research interests include radio resource management, 5G and beyond wireless networks and molecular communications for nano-networks. He is actively involved in authoring and reviewing journal papers and in organising several international conferences. He is the recipient of best paper award at Wireless Personal Multimedia Conference (WPMC) in 2013. He is currently serving as an editor for Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications and associate editor for IEEE ACCESS and IEEE Wireless Commuications Letters.
